The major focus of research is to create new knowledge in the field of study. Research Scholars are motivated to take up challenging problems for research.
The aim is to inculcate habit of enquiry among researchers and they are urged to take up research in both basic and applied areas of science, humanities and allied subjects. Keeping these objectives in view, Research Centre of Nehru Gram Bharati University started functioning in January, 2010.
The Centre is committed to fostering high quality and forefront areas of research problems. It is our earnest desire to promote research in diverse areas from humanities to science and technology with an aim to meet the challenges of national, regional and global importance.
We are driven by the belief that research is a key component of university system and high quality research and education must be pursued with utmost sincerity. Motivated by these thoughts, a highly professional based and student-oriented research program has been devised for Ph.D. program in our University.
University is conducting Research program in various disciplines including Sciences and Humanities for the award of Doctorate degree.
Presently, we have around 796 students registered for Ph.D. degree in our University of which 52 students have completed their Ph.D. Program, out of which 34 were awarded their Ph.D. Degree in the Convocation held on 22-10-2016
Scholarships are available from National funding Agencies in various categories. It is matter of pride that more than 120 Ph.D. students registered under Ph.D. program are availing fellowships from various Government funding agencies including Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India-BRNS, UGC, DST, Women Scientist Fellowships (WOS-DST), Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship, Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) etc.
Special scholarships are available from UGC/DST for women candidate.
